I am a research scientist at IBM Research at the Thomas J. Watson Research Center since Feb 2014. My recent work has focussed on large scale distributed platforms for deep learning -- both within a single datacenter and in geo-distributed federated settings. Education: I hold an M.S and PhD in Computer Science from Purdue University, West Lafayette, Indiana. My PhD advisor is Prof. Patrick Eugster. I was a member of the S3 (Secure Software Systems) Lab. Before Purdue, I got a Bachelors degree in Computer Science from BITS, Pilani, India. Experience: Before IBM Research, I was a postdoctoral researcher at HP Labs, Palo Alto, CA in the Next Generation Data Centers Group in the Intelligent Infrastructure Lab. I have interned with IBM Research (at the Cloud Management Services group), Microsoft (at the Static Driver Verification group) and Amazon.com (at the Simple Workflow Service group). I have also worked as a software engineer for Lucent Technologies (now Alcatel-Lucent). Conferences: (Please submit your best papers to...)
